Coming Soon Pt. 3
August 24, 2010
Fresh off the production line and straight into a photoshoot, it looks like the work I did for Gavin at Vitalife Matcha has turned out great (if I do say so myself). A couple of shots just dropped into my inbox and I couldn't wait to share one.
Coming Soon Pt. 2
August 23, 2010
This popped up in my Twitter inbox the other day from my friend (and client) Gavin Edley over at Vitalife Matcha. It looks like the stationery's come out nicely and I'll post some more photos of it as and when
I see it in the flesh. It's a pity we never managed to get the business cards printed on the duplexed 700gsm stock with the logo embossed, but maybe we'll save that for the next print run when Gavin's business is a booming success eh?

Something I've been working on out of hours recently for my friend Gavin Edley. Fingers crossed everything turns out ok and then maybe I'll post the end result on here too.
B&B Studio 'In-Book' at D&AD
April 27, 2010
We had a nice surprise at B&B Studio last friday when we found out our work for Peppersmith Gum had been accepted into the D&AD Annual for 2010. The premier awards scheme for our industry, D&AD is notoriously difficult to get into. We're incredibly happy therefore to be featured 'In-Book'. 'In-Book' seems to be fairly widely regarded as a 'bronze' (though there's no actual prize for it) so for B&B's first year in business, and my first year as a full-time designer, it's a great honour, and will hopefully the first of many awards to come the studio's way. All we have to do now is push out a load of great work and keep the clients happy. Shouldn't be too hard, eh?
Open for Business

Well, I said it was coming, and right in time for Valentines Day here it is. Handmadebymachine.net is the new store from myself, Adam Ding and a number of other contributers – notably Ry Coleman who built the damn thing.
We intend to sell or sorts of graphic ephemera; from cards, to posters, to tees and screen prints. The first product in the store is from myself and Adam; a series of typographic greeting cards for the type lover in your life. Perfect for Valentines Day or at any time of the year.
Coming Soon
January 27, 2010
Since the halcyon days of university myself and Adam Ding have remained close friends. We worked together on university projects, won awards together, and there's a general outline to work together in the future. Now we've finally got round to printing our very first commercial project together. It'll be available to buy online and in select retailers soon and should bring a smile to the type lover in your life. Stay tuned for more info.
Distraction Tactics
January 26, 2010
There you are, trying hard to get your head into a brief and not be distracted by the shiny new proofs that have just arrived in the studio, when suddenly the shoreditch skyline goes and pulls this on you:
Just how are you supposed to work when even nature is against you?! It's a tough job sometimes.
Coming Along
January 18, 2010
Three days in and the site seems to be coming along a bit. I've just blundered my way through coding a border above and below the project titles and positioning various elements with relative tags and such.
Fingers crossed I haven't really broken anything but it all seems ok so far (in safari at any rate).
Relaunch
January 15, 2010
Uh-oh. Things just got interesting.
Today I switched my domain over to cargo and started work on tweaking the design in this place. Hopefully I've now found a new home for my blog – usually host to my infrequent updates on my life, thoughts on design, and occasionally some (apparently) useful advice.
Bear with me if things get weird, it probably means I've broken the css.
Over and out.
